I am thinking of purchasing this kit. It looks like a good value, and includes Robbie O'Briens DVD. What do you think of the quality of materials? This will be my second guitar and I am now after tone, clarity, and volume. Thanks, Doug Ubele |

I think its a great choice for a 2nd guitar - so is building from scratch. I do however think that "going after tone, clarity, and volume" will be a bigger challenge than building a structurally sound instrument. |

Doug, That's the same set I bought to build my first guitar. It's a great kit you can't go wrong with. The fact that it comes with Robbie's DVD makes it an even better deal. I wish I had his DVD on my 1st couple guitars. Cheers! John |

I just bought it. This is too good of a value to pass up. I looked at the bill of materials and was going to purchase a lot of them separately. I e-mailed Robbie and he helped me out with the contents. It sounds like a different approach than Cumpiano. I am hoping to mix the 2 approaches to the most efficient.....if that is possible. Thanks, Doug Ubele |

Doug, You can't go wrong with the LMI kit. It is a great value. I built my first guitar years ago using their classical kit and i sure wish it had my DVD back then!! ![]() As I mention in the dvd the materials in the LMI kit are quality! You can build a top notch guitar using their kit. It is only a box of lumber and I am not sure it should even be called a kit cause you are building from "scratch" good luck with the build and let me know what you think of the DVD. |
